A dozen Pembrokeshire soldiers will parade at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium today (Tuesday) to celebrate their home coming from Iraq.
Members of the public are expected to fill the stadium to welcome around 600 members of the Royal Welsh 2nd battalion, who have completed their tour of duty in the war torn country.
Among the returning heroes are Dean Tilley and Geraint Peachment of Haverfordwest, Mark Greenslade from Pembroke Dock, Bobby Watson from Pembroke, Narberth's David Owen and Neyland's Ashley Mathias.
All six soldiers were recruited through Haverfordwest's Army careers office. Recruitment officer, Sergeant Barry John, is incredibly proud of what they have achieved.
"I am really proud of what they have accomplished," said Sgt John." They are really enjoying their careers and three of them have been promoted to Lance Corporal.
"It fills me full of pride to have helped them out and given them great careers.
"They come back to visit driving BMWs. They are doing really well. I am really impressed with them and proud of what they have done."
The ceremony is due to take place at around midday today and will involve a short parade at the stadium followed by celebrations in the city.
