Angela Burns AM is to act as a moderator between any concerned Pembroke Dock residents and the developer of Martello Quays.

The South Pembrokeshire AM suggested she play the role at a constructive meeting with developer Keith Williams of Martello Quays Limited.

I have had a number of constituents raise concerns about the development with me and I felt this was the best way to allay fears and help this regeneration of Pembroke Dock get underway," she said.

"People are worried that the Western Way will effectively cut off the development, with any benefits staying strictly in the new Marina and not spreading to Pembroke Dock as a whole."

It was agreed at the meeting that Mrs Burns will act as a go-between for any local residents and groups unhappy with the development and the Martello Quays group.

"If anyone has any concerns they can come to me and I'll pass them on and try to broker a meeting to come up with a solution."

Concerns about a casino and competition to existing shops were also allayed at the meeting.

"It was a very positive meeting and I was given a commitment that any shops in the marina will be of the chandlery kind and not grocery stores and that there won't be a casino at all," she added.

What a crock of Sh##e !

Angela Burns, why not get the Squire House to act as go between !!!!

Competition to existing shops ???? Who would put a card shop in a marina developement or another Woolworths, or perhaps the wallies are worried about a Chinese takeaway ?? Who the hell is worried about competition ?, We haven't got Grocery store in PD, because knowbody supported Kevins shop which was the last grocery store and he went to the wall, How long before we lose the last Butchers ? at least i can say i either bought or buy my goods from these stores !.

Bloody outsiders, Sell your houses and Ferk right off back to where you came from, I cant stand being told or having a snob act as a go between, perhaps she should stick to Fox Hunting and leave the planning to Pembroke Dock Council !.

Pembroke Dock Town Council should be planning this marina, they should be the ones who negotiate with the Quays, not some landed gentry Tory, who problebly never been to the Dock.

God alive home never changes !!!!

If you dont want Angela Burns to chair as a mediator, and I agree with you, then do something constructive about it.

All you have done with this post is show your ignorance with some petty inconsequential squabble that has nothing to do with the original post, maybe if you were to act as adults people would take notice of a justified concern.
