Local heroes from all over Pembrokeshire will be honoured next month.

The Western Telegraph has signed up to sponsor the Volunteer of the Year category at the Radio Pembrokeshire Local Hero Awards.

The awards will be held on Thursday, February 28th at the Plas Hyfryd Hotel, Narberth.

Nominations are now open in all categories: Young Carer with Gravells, Kidwelly and Haverford-west; Outstanding contribution to the Community with Chevron Pembroke Refinery; Adult achiever with Vaughans, Quay Street, Haverfordwest; Adult Carer of the Year with Snowdrop Care and Mobility, Haverfordwest; Outstanding contribution to sport with Celtic Kitchens, Haverfordwest; Volunteer of the year with The Western Telegraph; Outstanding achievement with Taylors etc, High Street, Narberth; Good Samaritan with the Cambrian Inn, Main Street, Solva; Dad of the Year with Maggs Optics, Riverside Arcade, Haverfordwest; Mum of the Year with Sinclair Group; Young Achiever with Milford Haven Port Authority; Contribution to Charity.

All category winners will be considered for the Gold Award from Bluestone.

Nominations close on Sunday, February 10th.
