An "urgent and robust investigation" into the actions of a National Park Estates Officer has been called for by the Authority's Chief Executive Nic Wheeler.
Administrative procedures were attacked when Authority members met to discuss an report into the controversial sale of the East Blockhouse building, Angle, today (Wednesday).
The officer in question could now face being disciplined for breach of the Authority's Code of Conduct.
Mr Wheeler expressed "regret" over the situation, and stated that lessons should be learnt.
Failure to take minutes and lack of communication by the Park's Asset Management Group when discussing purchasing land were strongly criticised.
Richard Howells said: "Procedures have been put in place now, but it's bolting the door after the horse is galloping around Angle."
He added: "To put a sticking plaster over little bits and pieces is not the answer. The eyes of Pembrokeshire and of Wales are upon us."
