A 20-year-old Pembroke Dock man who admitted biting his partner and sticking a dart in her leg during two domestic incidents two days apart, was granted bail with strict conditions when magistrates at Haverfordwest today adjourned his case until May 8th.
Nathan Kendrick of 5, Monroe Court, Pembroke Dock, pleaded guilty to assaulting Melissa Brown on April 10th and 12th. Prosecutor Jim Marchant said the first assault involved a bite on the arm and a blow on the leg with a dart while the second was a kick on the leg, both incidents following arguments.
He admitted both assaults when interviewed by police and said they were due to drink.
His solicitor Alun Morgan asked for credit for his early guilty pleas and suggested a pre-sentence report. Kendrick accepted his drink and anger management problems and he felt he would benefit from probation service help and intervention. Adjourning his case for a pre-sentence report, the chairman, Mr David Simpson, told Kendrick: "Biting and impaling with a dart are appalling - you have a serious problem with alcohol."
Kendrick was granted bail on condition of residence at 5, Monroe Court, not to enter Pembroke, to co-operate with the probation service, make no contact with Melissa Brown, not to enter licensed premises and to observe an 8pm - 7am curfew.
