Thirteen proved a lucky number for a passenger aboard the Stena Lynx yesterday.
The man, travelling form Fishguard to Rosslare, suffered a suspected heart attack half way through the crossing.
The captain of the Lynx put out a call over the vessel's tannoy system, asking if there was a doctor on board the high speed ferry.
Thirteen medics came to the aid of the man, they were on their way over to Ireland for a golfing holiday.
The man was tended by the doctors until the Lynx berthed in Rosslare. He was then transferred into a waiting ambulance and taken to Wexford Hospital.
