A 140-year-old wooden sailing boat, visiting Pembrokeshire as part of the SeaFair Haven event got into difficulty coming into Milford Haven last night (Wednesday).
The 30 foot Dorothy, with two people on board, contacted Milford Haven coastguard after she suffered engine failure 300 metres off the loch gate in the middle of atrocious weather conditions.
She was saved from going aground near the Mackerel Stage in Milford Docks .
The boat, which is part of the Sea Fair Haven flotilla, was towed by the pilot boat Hakin into the safety of the Port Authority pilot boat pen. Dale coastguard team was also in attendance.
