Headteacher sex case committed to crown

Magistrates in Haverfordwest have declined jurisdiction in the case of David Thorley,charged with 19 offences of sexual touching.

Pembrokeshire primary school headteacher David Thorley, of Bryn Heulog, Heol Penlanffos, Carmarthen, appeared in court today (Tuesday).

He was not asked to enter a plea although indication was given that he would be pleading not guilty at a later stage.

The 19 incidents are alleged to have taken place at Pembroke Dock and Carmarthen between 2003 and 2007.

The case has been committed to Swansea crown court.

Thorley was released on unconditional bail to appear again on August 18th.
