Clarbeston Road Post Office campaign picks up pace

A packed house of angry and confused residents demanded answers at a public consultation over the proposed closure of Clarbeston Road Post Office.

The consultation meeting, held yesterday (Wednesday), was attended by representatives from Post Office as well as a representative from postal service watchdog, Postwatch; County Councillor, David Howlett and Paul Davies AM.

Residents, farmers and businesses from much further afield joined Clarbeston Road villagers in their fury at the suggestion that their Post Office and adjoined shop might be dispensable.

It was estimated that over 250 people attended the meeting at Clarbeston Road Community Hall and the Post Office's external representative, Dave Wall, agreed that there were some very good points made.
