Candidates have been announced for the St Dogmaels by-election following the resignation of the county councillor.
Liberal Democrat Liz Campion resigned her seat just three months after beating independent candidate Mike James by 677 votes to 421 in the council elections.
Residents of the ward, which includes the St Dogmaels and Nevern areas, were shocked at Ms Campion’s departure, and say she worked hard on a number of community initiatives.
The candidates are Ian Gollop, of St Dogmaels (Independent), Vicky Moller, of Cilgwyn, James Jonathon Thickitt, of Fishguard (Welsh Conservative Party) and Elfyn Rees, of St Dogmaels (Liberal Democrat Focus Team).
The ballot will take place on September 18th.
