The Very Rev Wyn Evans has been announced Bishop Elect of St Davids.
Very Rev Evans is currently the Dean of St Davids and was elected following hours of private discussions inside St David's Cathedral this afternoon (Monday). He becomes Bishop Elect and will be made Bishop at a ceremony to be held later this year. The Archbishop of Wales, The Most Rev Dr Barry Morgan said: "The electoral college has great confidence in his ability as Bishop and everyone who knows him will realise that he is a safe pair of hands."
