Coastguard teams were kept busy over the festive period, as hundreds of people took to the Pembrokeshire coast to walk off the Christmas day calories.

On December 27th Broad Haven coastguard rescue team was called to Little Haven, where a 37-year-old man had fallen between ten and 15 foot off rocks near to the Castle Inn. Coastguards evacuated him to a nearby ambulance and he was taken to Withybush Hospital.

At 2.25pm on the same day Moylegrove and Penrhyn coastguards attended an incident at the Witches Cauldron at Ceibwr Bay. A 60-year-old walker had fallen and suffered a suspected broken ankle. She was stabilised by coastguards and taken to Withybush by ambulance.

Yesterday (Sunday) a 65-year-old man rescued from the beach at Freshwater East where he had been suffering from chest pains. Coastguards helped evacuate him from the beach and he was taken by ambulance to Withybush Hospital.
