Clarbeston Road has witnessed the “end of an era” as the village Post Office closed its doors for the final time today.
Earmarked for closure in June, villagers fought hard to keep their Post Office open but it will be replaced with an outreach service from tomorrow.
Post mistress for 28 years, Eira Griffiths said: “It is the end of an era. I want to thank everybody for their continued support over the last 28 years.
“It has been such a hard week, it’s been a hard 12 months in fact. In the mornings you can almost set your clock by who comes in, they all have a natter and you are going to loose all that.”
