Mobile post offices are being introduced in rural areas hit by closures.
Post Office Ltd announced this week that local managers and sub-postmasters have been working with other stakeholders to establish the new outreach services, which will bring all the current post office products to rural areas.
Four new vehicles will be operated by sub-postmasters based in Kilgetty, Pembroke and Fishguard.
The local services will be operated by Kilgetty’s John Murphy, Mark Wilson, of Pembroke, and Christopher Stiles, from Fishguard.
Fishguard will provide Monday to Friday services to Clarbeston Road, Mathry and Eglwyswrw, and a Monday and Wednesday service to Spittal.
Kilgetty will serve Blaenwaun on Monday and Thursday; Llanpumsaint on Tuesday and Friday; Talog on Monday to Thursday; Tavernspite on Monday and Wednesday,; and Trelech on Monday to Friday.
Pembroke will serve Angle, Broadmoor and Lawrenny on Monday and Thursday; Milton on Monday to Friday; St Florence on Tuesday and Friday; and St Ishmaels on Tuesday and Thursday. Timetables can be obtained from the mobile units.
Rhianydd Thomas, Post Office business development manager for west Wales said: “We hope the residents of all these areas will support these new services.”
