A Letterston man appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates this morning (Friday) charged with two double murders in the 1980s.
John William Cooper, aged 64, of Spring Gardens is charged with the murders of sister and brother Helen and Richard Thomas at Scoveston Manor in 1985, and the murders of Gwenda and Peter Dixon on the Pembrokeshire coastal path in 1989.
He was also charged with raping a woman in March 1996, an indecent assault on a girl aged under 16, and five attempted robberies in Milford Haven that same year.
Cooper, who appeared clean shaven and dressed in a white t-shirt, did not enter a plea, and will appear in Swansea Crown Court on May 27th, He will be remanded in custody until the trial.
