A host of events for all the family to celebrate Brunel Week will kick off in Neyland, this weekend.
The week-long festival will begin tomorrow (Saturday, July 4th), with the annual concert at Bethesda Baptist Chapel, featuring a host of musical talent.
Sports enthusiasts will be able to participate in the Neyland golf society tournament on Sunday July 5th, a bowls tournament and enjoy a mid-week Judo demonstration.
An arts and crafts exhibition will be hosted at St Clement's church and hall and will include workshops.
Youngsters will be able to enjoy a youth club disco on Friday, July 10th, as well as a week-long event celebrating the life of Brunel at Neyland junior school.
The festivities will culminate with a classic car show, county regatta at Neyland yacht club and a songs of praise service on Saturday, July 12th.
Founder member and president of the Neyland Brunel Festival Association, Simon Hancock, praised the hard work and commitment of chairman of the association Gareth Hopkins in preparing the line-up of activities.
“The community of Neyland is indebted to Gareth," said Simon. "For his hard work, enthusiasm and dedication in keeping the Brunel Week concept going.”
