Green Acres Animal Rescue in Talbenny are holding an open day today to celebrate both the successful rehoming of over 100 dogs and completion of their first year in operation. Visitors to the animal rescue centre will be able to meet the dogs, goats, ducks and other rescue animals currently housed there as well as find out about the challenges of the rescue’s first year and plans to expand.
“We can hardly believe it’s been a year since we first opened," said Green Acres’ Sarah Kimpson.
"We have saved over 100 dogs, not to mention a plethora of other animals including goats, sheep, ducks and pigs.
"We really want people to come down and visit us to find out about what we have been doing and our future plans. Children and dogs are all welcome and there will also be a raffle on the day.”
