Dyfed Powys Police have charged a man with the murder of Chanelle Sasha Jones.
The man, Gary Fisher, aged 47, of Solihull, West Midlands will appear before Llanelli Magistrates Court this morning.
The teenager's body was found in a car stopped by police on the A487 near Aberaeron after she was reported missing on Sunday, august 2nd.
A post mortem concluded that she died from stab wounds.
Police said yesterday (Wednesday) that they were questioning a man at Aberystwyth police station in connection with her death.
Last night they confirmed they had charged Fisher.
Police are still appealing to members of the public who have any information about Chanelle's final hours to come forward.
When she was last seen Chanelle, known to many as Sasha, was wearing a grey checked hooded top, a white vest top, a blue denim skirt, black leggings and pink ankle socks.
Police believe she may have been in The Strand, Cardigan, near the Angel Hotel sometime on Sunday morning.
Officers are also keen to trace the whereabouts of a beige 03 registration Ford Fiesta which is believed to have travelled on the Haverfordwest to St Clears road, and in the Lampeter, Poppit Sands and Gwbert-on-Sea areas on August 2nd.
Anyone with any information can contact the incident room via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
