Pembrokeshire County Show welcomes Rural Affairs Minister Elin Jones to the Withgybush Showground today.

The show is celebrating two important milestones this year: its 50th anniversary on Withybush Showground and the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society’s 225th birthday. As the largest three day agricultural county show in Wales, the Pembrokeshire show welcomes almost 100,000 people to the County Showground every August.

The show features a packed programme of events with something for everyone – from the show rings where you can see impressive displays of livestock and equine competitions, to the food hall where you can sample the finest local produce. There are also over 600 trade stands selling a wide variety of craft and food products.

Other attractions include Titan the Robot – an 8ft animatronic and articulated robot, back by popular demand, Lennie the Land Train and the UK’s number one motorcycle display team.

The Rural Affairs Minister will visit the Farming Connect trailer, NFU Cymru stand and FUW stand during the show.

“I am delighted to attend the Pembrokeshire County Show as it celebrates two significant anniversaries of 50 years at the Withybush Showground and the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society’s 225th birthday," she said.

"The Pembrokeshire Show is recognised as one of the UK’s most impressive rural events and is an excellent showcase for the highest quality livestock and equine competitions. I look forward seeing the cattle and equine exhibitions and to sampling Pembrokeshire’s finest produce at the food hall.

"I would like to congratulate Pembrokeshire County Show on their achievements during the past 50 years and wish them all the best for the future.”
