St Dogmaels goes to the polls today, as a by-election is held for the village's seat on Pembrokeshire County Council.
The sitting member for St Dogmaels, Councillor Ian Gollop, is retiring due to ill health.
He is the second councillor for the ward since the elections in May 2008, Liberal Democrat councillor Liz Campion resigned her seat just three months after beating Independent candidate Mike James by 677 votes to 421.
The three people vying for the seat are: David Griffith Michael James (Independent) of 7 Grove Terrace, St Dogmaels; Alwyn Cadwallader Luke (Independent) of 2 St Davids Place, Goodwick and Elfyn Owen Rees (Liberal Democrat) of 34 The Moorings, St Dogmaels.
The polling booth is open until 10pm today. The results are due to be announced at around 11pm.
