A group fighting the controversial 'eyesore on the Parrog' Bettws Newydd building is furious that a new application will be considered.
The Bettws Newydd Opposition Group said the new application "is nothing more than a re-submission involving somewhat different landscaping plans."
A spokesman added: "It has already been decided by the Development Management Committee that this building, as constructed, breaches planning policies in many respects. Nothing in this application changes that."
The spokesman added: "We are effectively back to where we were last year. We cannot see why officers have allowed this - effectively a 're-run' of last year's application.
"We think that this is a waste of public funds and time."
Comments about the new application must be made in writing to the national park authority by February 25th.

Each application is decided on its merits and no doubt the planning officer report will include similarities to previous applications and their recommendation to the Planning Committee.
So its up to everyone to write their letters of objection or support and to lobby members of the Planning Committee.
The Committee then makes their decision to approve or refuse it.
If it is as controversial as the last application, the applicant won't make himself popular with the locals!
