Two Pembrokeshire students are setting off on a 1,600-mile charity hitch-hike from Swansea to Marrakech, Morocco, tomorrow (Saturday).
Angharad Jones from Efailwen, and Daniel Potter from Goodwick, expect the trip to take them around five days.
The daring duo, currently studying at Swansea University, will make the long trip without using any form of public transport.
Daniel and Angharad hope to raise £700 for the Link community development charity, which promotes access to quality education in rural communities in sub-Saharan Africa, through innovative approaches and projects.
Angharad said: “We have all been lucky enough to receive the best education, with no restrictions or complications, throughout our lives.”
“I think people underestimate the importance of education among poverty-stricken countries, but it really does make a huge difference.”
All the money raised will go directly to the charity, as the two students will pay for all hostels, food and flights home themselves.
