A worker at Murco refiner had a lucky escape on Wednesday after falling into a cooling tower.
It is understood that the man fell about 15 feet but was not injured.
The Health and Safety Executive has said that it has been made aware of an incident and are investigating it further.
A spokesman for Murco confirmed that an incident had taken place.
“A contract worker was taken to Withybush Hospital by ambulance as a precaution but was later discharged without injury. The individual returned to work at the refinery the following day.
“The incident is currently under investigation,” she added.
