A Tenby woman accused of trying to murder her husband made her first appearance in person before a crown court judge yesterday (Tuesday).
Shafia Sofan, aged 50, sat next to an interpreter in the dock of Swansea crown court, as Judge Huw Davies was updated as to the progress in the case against her.
Sofan, of The Maudlins, is charged with attempting to murder Mohammed Sofan with a machete type weapon in Tenby 13 days ago.
Gwilym Roberts-Harry, prosecuting, said the case for the prosecution would be ready within four weeks.
Judge Davies said a plea and case management, at which Sofan will be asked to respond to the charge, will be held on May 4th.
Sofan will continue to be held at Eastwood Park women's prison near Bristol meanwhile.
James Jenkins, her barrister, said a bail application could be lodged in the near future.
