Tenby attempted murder hearing postponed at Swansea crown court

A court hearing at which a Tenby woman was due to enter a plea to attempted murder has been suddenly postponed.

Shafia Sofan, aged 50, had been listed before Judge John Diehl at Swansea crown court this morning for a plea and case management hearing.

Sofan, of The Maudlins, is accused of attempting to murder Mohammed Sofan with a machete type weapon in Tenby during an incident in March.

But Judge Diehl was told that medical reports were still awaited and Sofan will now attend a plea hearing on June 4th.

Meanwhile, she continues to be held in custody at Eastwood Park women's prison near Bristol.
