Thirty Dyfed-Powys Police staff receive salaries of more than £40,000 a year, a Freedom of Information request has revealed.
The request asked for details of staff that earn more than £40,000, but does not include police officers.
Taking the figures at the highest amounts possible per band, the total amount in wages for the 30 employees listed is £1.2million per annum.
The response details that the Director of Finance and Resources earns £96,375, the highest amount listed.
It adds that the figure would normally be exempt under personal information but the director had consented to the figure being released.
The heads of estates, information systems and technology, human resources and legal services all receive salaries in the band of £61,497 - £65,637.
The chief helicopter pilot earns between £55,158 and £58,872 along with the head of commercial services, financial controller, head of financial management and head of corporate services.
A previous FoI request has shown that the average wage of a police constable in the Dyfed-Powys force area is £30,839 (based on February 2010), while the Chief Constable is entitled to a salary of £130, 044 from September this year.
The deputy chief constable will be entitled to a wage of £108,873 from September.
