Haverfordwest CID is investigating a vicious assault which has left the victim with a fractured skull.
The incident happened at around 12:44am on Saturday 10th July 2010 outside the Ship and Anchor pub, High Street, Fishguard.
The victim is curently in Withybush Hospital with a fractured skull and bleeding and swelling to the brain.
He is described as being in a critical condition.
Police believe only one other male was involved in the incident.
