The motorcyclist who died in a crash near Kidwelly ten days ago, was formerly from Pennar in Pembroke Dock.

Graham John Williams, aged 51, and his 42-year-old partner Sandra Courtman, who was a pillion passenger, were killed when the Triumph bike was involved in a collision with two vans.

Graham and Sandra lived in Burry Port, but Graham had only moved there from Pembroke Dock earlier this year.

His funeral took place at St John's Church, Pembroke Dock, yesterday (Tuesday).

A police family liaison officer said: "Family and friends are deeply shocked at the tragic death which occurred the day before Graham's eldest daughter's graduation and he leaves behind another daughter who is expecting his second grandchild in a few weeks.

"He also just missed out on his grandson's first birthday. He will be greatly missed."

Meanwhile, police are still appealing for witnesses to another fatal accident which occurred on the Kilgetty bypass. Another motorcyclist, who is believed to come from Meidrim in Carmarthenshire, died after an accident involving his Honda Fireblade 900cc motorcycle, a 38 tonne articulated lorry and a BMW car.

A 44-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of a driving offence.

Traffic police were at the Kilgetty bypass again on Thursday - a week after the crash.

They stopped traffic between 2pm and 2.30pm, around the time of the accident, and asked motorists whether they recalled seeing anything that could be relevant.
