The family of Narberth murder victim Angelika Dries-Jenkins have made an emotional appeal to catch her killer.

In a statement, they said: "Our mother was a quiet woman who led, as she herself said, a quiet life. She cherished her family and friends and where she loved, she loved deeply and with tremendous heart, spirit and fun. Over the last two years she fought against and overcame serious illness. She wanted to live.

"The violent nature of our mother’s death is in all too horrible a contrast with the way in which she lived her life. Quietly and gently.

"We know many people in the county are grieving the loss of those who died and or were injured in this week’s explosion in Pembroke. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go to the families and friends of those involved, as our mother’s would too.

"She loved Pembrokeshire. This year would mark the 40th anniversary of her first coming here on her honeymoon, and choosing it as her home and the place to raise her family. She could not have imagined living anywhere else.

"We are asking the people of Pembrokeshire, and the community of Narberth in particular, to please assist the police in whatever way they can. Even if you think it is too small to mention or to be of use, please do not hesitate; we need you to come forward.

"The person or people responsible for killing our mother must not be sheltered or protected, but prevented from ever doing anything like this, to any other person or family, ever again."
