It has been announced this week that Haverfordwest has some of the slowest broadband speeds in the UK.

In research done by uSwitch.com of over 1.5 million speed tests, Furzy Park in Haverfordwest was identified as being the 7th slowest street in Britain for broadband speeds.

As part of the Welsh Government’s Next Generation Broadband for Wales project, it is intended that the whole of Wales will have access to broadband of 30Mb/s by 2015.

The project will focus particularly on rural areas that have been overlooked by previous schemes.

Angela Burns commented; "I am relieved to see movement on this at long last."

Earlier this year Pembrokeshire was ranked 195th out of 200 regions in the UK for broadband speeds.
