A 22-YEAR-OLD man from Treffgarne has avoided a jail sentence after admitting 17 offences relating to indecent and pornographic images.

Hasan Nur appeared before Judge Keith Thomas at Swansea crown court last Friday.

He had previously pleaded guilty to possession of more than 1,500 indecent photographs of children as well as ten charges of making indecent images of children.

He had also admitted six charges of possessing extreme pornographic images involving animals.

Nur was given a community order which includes a three year supervision order and a requirement to complete a sex offenders group programme.

He was also given a five year sexual offences prevention order, an order made to prevent the public from possible reoffending, the terms of which are requested by the Crown Prosecution Service and determined by the judge.

Nur was ordered to pay £340 costs and a forfeiture and destruction order was granted in relation to the images.
