Milford Haven will play a starring role in the TV show Great British Railway Journeys this evening (Friday).
The new series, fronted by former politician Michael Portillo, will feature the railway journey from Oxford to Milford Haven.
A team from Milford Haven Port Authority (MHPA) worked with Michael Portillo and his camera crew last year, providing opportunities to film the town from land and water.
Mr Portillo and his production team visited Milford Haven, tracing the town’s history from its whaling origins to energy capital of Britain.
During filming, Mr Portillo went out on a Milford Haven Port Authority pilot cutter to get closer to the gas and oil tankers along the Haven.
Mr Portillo said: “It’s a privilege to make these programmes, not least because they take me to areas of outstanding natural beauty, such as Pembrokeshire.”
The episode featuring Milford Haven will be aired tonight at 6.30pm on BBC 2.
