Lower Town shut for resurfacing Sunday

The road through Lower Town will be closed this Sunday to allow for resurfacing work.

Resurfacing works is scheduled for the A487 at Lower Fishguard this Sunday (29th January) to the north of the junction with Old Newport Road.

Pembrokeshire County Council said that the A487 will be closed from the junction with Hamilton Street in Fishguard to the designated HGV turn around layby on the A487 to enable the work to be undertaken safely. Diversion routes will be signed appropriately.

Access will be maintained for local residents wherever possible.

To minimise disruption to the travelling public, Welsh Water will also be undertaking some essential works in Lower Town under the same road closure.

Due to the nature of the works they are weather dependent and therefore are subject to last minute cancellation.
