Schools merger on the cards

A schools shake-up in Tenby is on the cards.

Meetings have been held to discuss future proposals relating to a possible merger of the town’s infant and junior schools on one site, and the setting up of a Welshmedium school.

A report on the reorganisation will be considered by Pembrokeshire County Council’s cabinet meeting today (Monday).

Council spokesman Len Mullins said: “The reorganisation of the Tenby Family of Schools is included in the council’s 21st Century Schools programme submitted to the Welsh Government last year.”
