A public meeting will be held in Maenclochog tonight (Friday) as concerns mount over potential changes to the parliamentary boundaries.
It follows a Boundary Commission hearing in Swansea last month when two county politicians teamed up to argue that the Maenclochog ward should not be moved into a potential Ceredigion and North Pembrokeshire constituency.
Preseli Pembrokeshire MP Stephen Crabb and Independent County Councillor Huw George are calling for the Maenclochog ward to stay within the new South and West Pembrokeshire seat.
Mr Crabb said: “This community is a core part of Pembrokeshire which is served by Narberth and Haverfordwest for its transport, social, community and cultural services. It makes no sense to isolate its residents in this way.”
The community councils affected by the change will hold a public meeting at the village Community Hall this evening, March 9th, at the at 7pm.
