Have your say on tax powers

The chairman of the Commission on Devolution in Wales is urging people to have their say on tax powers for Wales this week.
The commission will be in Haverfordwest on Wednesday, April 18th, as part of a series of events to find out the public’s views on whether the Welsh Government should have tax varying and borrowing powers.
There will be a drop in session at Tabernacle, Haverfordwest, between 10am and 11am, where members of the public can give their views in an informal setting.
Chairman Paul Silk said: “We have started to hold public meetings across Wales and this month we will be visiting south and west Wales.
“As a Commission, we felt that it was important that members of the public are given the opportunity to let us know their views, whatever they may be, on this important issue.
“We all pay taxes so what we come up with will impact communities across Wales.
That is why the Commission would encourage people in Haverfordwest to attend and find out more about our work and take part in a lively debate.
“Our message to the people of Haverfordwest and surrounding areas is simple: Come along and have your say.”
