Celebrity turned zoo keeper Anna Ryder –Richardson will face a crown court trial after pleading not guilty to two health and safety offences at Haverfordwest magistrates court this afternoon (Thursday).
The TV star is jointly charged with her husband, Colin MacDougall, and their company Manor House Wildlife Park Ltd.
All three entered not guilty pleas to two charges under section 37(1) of the health and safety at work act 1974.
One charge is of an employer breach of general duty to an employee. The second charge is of a breach of general duty to a person other than an employee.
The prosecution has been brought by the Public Protection division at Pembrokeshire County Council, following an incident where a tree fell on a boy and his mother in the park in 2010.
The boy sustained serious head injuries following the incident in the wallaby enclosure.
Ryder –Richardson and her husband will appear at Haverfordwest magistrates court on May 14th for a committal to crown court.
