Author and artist shares passion for Jones

Author and artist Elizabeth Haines will give an illustrated talk at Maenclochog Hall at 7pm today (Friday).

There will also be an exhibition of recent paintings and sketchbooks by Elizabeth, who has lived in the area for over 40 years.

Introduced to the work of David Jones by her father, Elizabeth Haines has for many years studied and enjoyed his painting, lettering, poetry and essays.

In this talk she shares her love and admiration for this extraordinary man, who, despite his many gifts has not yet ‘hit the common radar’.

Elizabeth Haines has practised as a painter, illustrator, writer and teacher, as well as working with her late husband on the farm.
