Free taster sessions and an arts and crafts exhibition are currently being held at Tenby Community Learning Centre during Adult Learners’ Week.

The campaign, from May 12th to 18th, offers people the chance to have a go at learning something new by trying one of the hundreds of free taster sessions taking place across Wales. It also gives learning providers an opportunity to showcase what they offer. The exhibition was officially opened on Friday by the chairman of Pembrokeshire County Council, Councillor David Pugh. This year it was combined with the centre's annual awards evening, celebrating the achievements of people who took external examinations and the success of the creative writers who published an anthology last year.

The group read some of their pieces on Friday evening.

Free tasters which can be enjoyed at Tenby Community Learning Centre this week are: art (Friday morning), pottery (Thursday afternoon) and floristry (Friday afternoon).

The week will end with a cultural quiz on Friday evening. Learners will be tested on their knowledge of England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Wales – the languages of which are all taught at the centre.
