Coast path due to re-open after rock fall

A section of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path between Coppet Hall and Wiseman’s Bridge should re-open by the end of the week.

The area was closed following a rock fall on the evening of Wednesday, 16th May.

No one was involved in the incident which damaged seven metres of iron railing but Pembrokeshire County Council fenced off an area around the rock fall.

A council spokesman said today Monday that, following an inspection by a geologist, some remedial work was being undertaken to allow the path to re-open.

“However it will be necessary to close the path again in the early part of next week to allow permanent work to be carried out” he added.

“This section of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path will be open in time for the main spring holiday weekend and half-term week in early June.”
