A 77-year-old man was airlifted to Withybush Hospital yesterday evening (Wednesday) after a fall at Bosherston, near Stackpole.
The man, on holiday from Cheshire, had broken the same leg he had undergone a knee replacement on last year a coastguard spokesman said.
He had fallen down an embankment and was roughly a mile away from the nearest road.
He was taken to hospital by Wales Air Ambulance. The air ambulance arrived on scene in 20 minutes, landing in a very tight location close to the patient.
St Govans Coastguard Rescue Team and Pembs Sector Manager assisted the Welsh Ambulance Service during the incident at around 5pm.
