Tributes to popular Pembrokeshire college student Louis Murray
2:40pm Tuesday 24th July 2012 in News
FURTHER tributes have been paid to 17-year-old Louis Murray who died in a crash on Saturday.
The Pembrokeshire College student has been described as lively and popular and had been studying on the Pathway to Apprenticeship in Brickwork course. He was hoping to progress to an apprenticeship in September.
College principal Sharron Lusher said: “It is with deepest regret that we have learnt of the death of the Louis Murray. We are all devastated by the news and wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time.”
Brickwork tutor Richard Fussell added: “Louis was a popular member of the group who worked hard and progressed well throughout the course. Louis had planned to progress to the Level 2 Diploma in Brickwork and would have made an excellent apprentice, always keen to learn new techniques and put them into action. He will be sadly missed by everyone in the brickwork department.”
The college counsellor will be available in college over the summer to offer support to staff and students affected by the tragedy. Any students wishing to book an appointment should contact Student Support on 01437 753133.
