Second accident in number of months at same level crossing near Whitland
7:48pm Friday 27th July 2012 in News
Three people suffered minor injuries after a crash between a train and a lorry near Whitland this afternoon (Friday).
The accident happened at about 4pm on the Llanboidy crossing.
It was on the same level crossing that a train hit a hay lorry in December last year.
The Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the accident involved a three train coach and a lorry on the B4328.
Those with minor injuries were treated at the scene by paramedics.
The line was closed for a time and buses replaced trains between Haverfordwest and Carmarthen but the line has since been re-opened.
