12:20pm Friday 3rd August 2012 in News
Theatr Mwldan is opening its new third digital screen today (Friday).
Mwldan 3 is a plush 101 seat cinema, equipped with high quality digital projection, and is also able to present live satellite broadcasts and digital 3D.
It joins the venue’s two existing screens to make Mwldan the first independent all-digital three-screen cinema in Wales.
Mwldan 3 has 101 wide-backed seats, with a special back row of double ‘cwtch’ seats which can be booked individually or as a pair. It is fully accessible for wheelchair users, and is equipped with digital audio reinforcement, audio description and soft subtitling capabilities. It also boasts full digital sound.
The first ever screening to be held in the new auditorium will be Ice Age 4: Continental Drift in 2D on Friday at 2pm, and through the rest of August you can also enjoy The Five Year Engagement, Marley, Step Up 4, Ted, The Lorax and The Expendables 2.
Tickets for all screenings in Mwldan 3 are on sale via the box office.
