Child rescued from rough Whitesands seas

An 11-year-old boy who got into difficulty in rough seas at Whitesands yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon was rescued by the beach’s RNLI lifeguards.

The child, on holiday from Northwood, Middlesex, was assisted out of the choppy water. He was taken to an awaiting land ambulance where he was checked over by paramedics who released him with no further assistance required.

St Davids coastguards were also involved in the incident.
