Parliamentary reshuffle sees promotion for Stephen Crabb MP

Preseli Pembrokeshire MP Stephen Crabb has been appointed junior minister in the Wales Office - taking up the number two spot.

Mr Crabb's promotion comes as previous number two David Jones was appointed Welsh Secretary earlier this week.

Mr Crabb is now Lords Commissioner of HM Treasury and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State in the Wales Office. He will keep his role as Government whip.

Leader of the Welsh Conservatives at the Welsh Assembly Andrew RT Davies said: “Stephen is an incredibly capable MP and I am delighted that this appointment has been made.

“I know he has performed extremely well in his role as a government whip and today’s announcement is a natural step forward."
