Police find body during missing person search

Police have found a body that they believe to be the missing person Ian Pearson from Salford who was reported missing from the Little Haven area by his family on Wednesday.
Insp Jackie Blackmore said, “Following an extensive search by specialist teams a body of a man matching Ian’s description was found in a densely wooded area in South Pembrokeshire on Saturday afternoon. Ian’s next of kin have been informed and formal identification will take place today (Sunday). There are no suspicious circumstances and HM Coroner is being informed.
“Our sympathies and thoughts are with Ian’s family and our thanks go to the search teams who helped us over the last three days.”
Taking part in the search were: Mid and West Fire and Rescue Urban Search and Rescue team; Western Beacons Mountain Rescue Team; HM Coastguard as well as local Police Officers and specialist search teams including X99, the police helicopter.
