The stand off between police and a man who is believed to be armed has continued throughout the night into this morning (Saturday).
As the Western Telegraph reported throughout the day yesterday, officers - including armed response units and dog handlers - sealed off a man in a flat above the Funky Den, off Bridge Street in Haverfordwest.
It is understood that he had thrown some items down from his position during the night.
Police and fire service personnel remain in the area this morning and part of Bridge Street remains cordoned off to the public.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman told the Western Telegraph on Saturday: "Dyfed Powys Police can confirm that they are continuing to deal with an incident at Bridge Street, Haverfordwest.
"The area remains cordoned off by Police to ensure the safety of all and members of the public are asked to avoid travelling through the area.
"The public are thanked for their patience and assistance.
"Further updates will be provided in due course."
The incident began at about 12.55pm on Friday.
