Max Kayode Laurence Huntley appeared at Haverfordwest magistrates court today (Monday), following last weekend’s rooftop stand off.

Huntley, who gave his address as 11A Bridge Street, Hole in the Wall, was charged with committing affray on September 22nd and committing criminal damage, between September 11th and 22nd.

Peter Lloyd prosecuting said that during the 26 hour “siege” Huntley had a machete and a hammer in his possession. However he was not charged with possessing an offensive weapon.

The 25-year-old, who has bi-polar and has Asperger’s, epilepsy and ADHD, declined to enter a plea for either offence. The court entered not guilty pleas on his behalf.

Magistrates declined jurisdiction and will formally commit the case to Swansea crown court on November 12th.

Despite an application for bail by his solicitor, Mike Reed, Huntley was remanded to Swansea prison.

He will next appear in front of magistrates via video link on October 1st.
