Two cars were destroyed in a blaze in a commercial garage in Tenby yesterday (Thursday).

Fire appliances from Tenby and Pembroke Dock, together with the foam tender from Milford Haven, attended the scene at Marsh Road Garage, a single storey building measuring 8m x 20m.

The fire was reported at 5.14pm, and saw firefighters using three water jets and a foam jet, two breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera.

The garage was well alight when crews arrived.

“The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished using breathing apparatus sets, three main jets, one foam hose reel jet, one short extension ladder and a thermal image camera,” said a fire service spokesman.

“The building sustained significant damage and two cars were destroyed.”

The Environment Agency was also informed of the incident.
